Moreover, KNP offers a range of traditional events all through the year, for example, Birdwatching Days (in spring and autumn), European Day of Parks, Bat Night, etc. All these activities are open for everyone.
Where to get information on KNP?
From May 1st – September 30 KNP Information Centre is open in the administration building „Meža māja” („Forest house”) in Kemeri.
Open daily from 10.00 - 18.00
KNP Information Centre offers:
- information on nature trails and routes in KNP;
- information on other recreation possibilities in the territory of KNP;
- information on nature education activities organized by KNP;
- information on guided tours in Kemeri National Park;
- bicycle rental.

How to get to KNP Information Centre?
- By car along the road No P128 (Talsi) or No A10 (Ventspils) up to the turningpoint to Ķemeri;
- By train Riga - Kemeri- Tukums to the station Kemeri (train schedule here);
- By bus No 6 from Sloka or minibus No 11 from Lielupe to Kemeri, bus stop „Meža māja” (bus schedule here).
How to get around in KNP?
- On foot;
- By car;
- By tourist bus;
- By bicycle (rental offices at Kemeri railway station and in KNP Information Centre in „Meža māja”);
- By boat (information about possibilities to rent a boat here).
Remember!
Kemeri National Park is a protected nature territory regulated by Latvian legislation. The aim of these rules is to provide maintenance of the outstanding nature values for our future generations, so that their delight at what they see here is as big as yours. So would You please:
- do not make fires and set up tents outside places specially marked for this purpose;
- use roads only for moving around the territory of KNP by any kind of vehicle (horse, bicycle, car, bike, etc.);
- keep your dogs on lead;
- leave your rubbish in places specially marked for this purpose;
- do not destroy or damage different objects around you (trees, bushes, other plants, trails, information stands etc.).
