About project

Project „Back to Nature” is implemented within the Estonia-Latvia Programme and is partly financed by ERDF. Necessary amount of partner cofinancing for Nature Protection Agency Ķemeri National Park Administration (15%) is granted by the State of Latvia.

Total project budget: 652659,00 EUR
KNP partner budget: 122719,00 EUR

Duration of the project: 2 years (March 2009 – February 2011)

• Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation (EST)

• State Nature Conservation Centre Põlva – Valga – Võru Region (EST)

• Gauja National Park Foundation (LAT)

Main project activities:

• preparation and issue of informative and educative materials on wetlands (keybook, fairy-tale book, calendar, 3 new Nature School programs, environmental magazine, etc.);
• interactive exhibition;
• international camps, seminars and study trips;
• clean-up days;
• activities for World Wetlands Day and World Water Day.
